Xith3D is very new (a month old) and is geared primarily at game developers
who are willing to sacrifice some of the features of the full Java3D, for
the sake of improved performance and access to newer 3d card features.

We have finished porting Magicosm to Xith3D and have it running quite well
on Windows and Linux.

I believe Shown Kendel and Fullsail will be releasing a Java3D compatible
renderer also sometime soon.

Subject: [JAVA3D] Alternatives to Java3D

I heard of two projects that could be the 'new' Java3D, they are both
layered ontop of JOGL and Open-mind is also using JOAL.

Has anyone tried them, how usable are they?
Does anyone know of other potential open-source replacements to Java3D?
