I also personally don't mind the iPhone talk, but I have to admit that I am a fan of Apple products. It's worth noting, though, that Apple really grabbed the attention of developers with the release of Mac OS X and some great laptops. I think it says something that Apple products are so popular with Java developers despite the fact that Java on Mac OS X has been lagging behind other platforms.
Also, just the fact that The Posse are so inclined to talk about the iPhone on a Java podcast is telling. I have to admit, the idea of doing iPhone development is exciting in a way that the idea of doing Java development isn't.
