I definitely never schedule 25 minutes of iTalk. I think the only remaining topics that will bring up the iPhone again is when Java is running on it (and maybe flash - I do believe that both are just a matter of time). There will naturally be some comparisons with other platforms like Android as well - the iPhone has set the bar for what a consumer device should be, and other platforms will have to measure up to it (inevitably they will be compared).
I think that we will definitely see Android compare well against it soon, and hopefully openmoko too (I love what they are trying to do, but right now I feel like using the openmoko would be a lot like using my old zaurus 5500, cool as hell to fiddle with, but a productivity nightmare for actually getting anything done). As for Macs, I do use a mac laptop although I am seriously considering getting one of the toshiba ultra-light books and putting ubuntu on there. As Tor mentioned, my primary setup is a Linux Ubuntu machine which is frankly the best Java development environment I have ever used, especially since I upgraded the CPU recently. I am outnumbered on the podcast though, so as much as I would love to schedule a 25 minute chat about Linux on the podcast, I suspect it would be a rather one sided conversation. :-). Cheers Dick P.S. A tip I picked up while working as a Google developer advocate - if you want to send a critical email or message, always read it through as though you were the recipient before sending it. If there is something in there that you would not like to read over your morning coffee, you might think about re-wording that part of the message. The real trick is to get your point across without upsetting anyone, and the best part is, it is more likely to be heeded that way ;-). As has been pointed out on this thread already, we absolutely do want feedback and criticism, otherwise we don't know what people want, but it's always nicer to read something when it doesn't immediately put your back up :-).
