Im resisting commenting on the debate... but here goes. :) I was always anti-gun. Probably because I live in Australia and hand- guns are not part of our culture the same way they are in the US. I've never held one. Only saw them on police men and in US gun shops. An American asked me how I could stand the fact that the government restricts my right to have one... but I never really thought about it. I didn't know I wanted one. :)
I wouldn't mind owning a sword. I'd be upset if someone told me I couldn't have one of those. The government controls "dangerous things". My father needed a license to maintain a certain amount of arsenic. I guess if we were all vampires the government might want to control garlic. I'm a civil liberties kind of guy buy I understand the extreme of this would be some kind of anarchy. I find it a breach of civil liberties that US companies drug test their staff. You don't get that in Australia. But drug usage in Australia is different (I'm not going to claim better - just different). I'm not really sure what my point is or if I really have one. :) CC --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Java Posse" group.
