I think that the Java Posse strike a very nice balance between the different
interests.   The Java language and JVM covers a very wide spectrum of topics
and interests today.   The Posse helps all of us stay informed in these
areas.   While I'm personally not always interested in these other topics, I
am glad that the Posse discusses them;  it helps me keep a finger on what is
going on.

Besides, there is this fantastic technology called "fast forward" if the
Posse gets a bit too dry.  :-)
