Conferences these days seems to follow the same trend as languages,
spreading out and encapsulating similar and even competitive stuff. I
happen to think this is a good thing, for I care more about technology
in general than from any one particular company - and frankly I could
do without a 4'th year of JavaFX demoing. The ongoing JAOO is an
example of this btw, where interesting things just happens when you
put people from different camps together in a professional forum. As
for the trade show part, I'm sure Larry has that part covered - let's
not forget than unlike Sun, Oracle did manage to make money.
