Though I understand OpenWorld is huge and subsumes much of the SF conference area already. Thus I'm not sure how the Java-related portion of some unified Oracle conference would not get lost in the non-Java Oracle stuff. If Java-focused attendees have to wade through a lot of non-Java stuff that they're uninterested in, the attendance will suffer.
