In recent pod casts there have been views stated that I can only
account as deeply unfounded Pro Apple bias.
To describe Apples doctorine on Flash or Java on their mobile devices
as purely due to a want of consistent user experience is just nonsense
You could equally diverge from their perceived athletics using
objective C of any of their mandated technologies.
Indeed enforcement of this kind, along with performance
considerations, is better handled by the vetting of applications and
user feedback

The clear reason in why Apple is taking this approach is for
competitive business reasons. By locking in developers to the
iPhone,iPad,,, you simply get more applications, and based on their
quality, ship more units. I am under the view that due to increased
competition they are looking to the developer community to give them
advantage and that developers mean a lot more than some members of
the posses care to admit.

If you want to bring in the philosophical angle I would say forget
your previous Communism vs Capitalism comparisons and look straight to
Totalitarianism for Steve Jobs desires
