"legal innovation" has surely got to be an oxymoron!

Such "innovation" has given us:

Limited liability for shareholders whose company breaks laws or goes bust
leaving creditors suffering
3/5 of a vote for slaves
software patents
the threat of libel suits for journalists who report on dodgy practices,
sometimes even life-threatening ones
music companies that sue their own customers
no win no fee lawyers driving up everybody's insurance premiums through
frivolous lawsuits
... I could go on!
