I'm venting because I did buy a product, shortly before they introduced a
new policy.

I'm left having paid for a device that I now can't use for one of my
intended purposes
Nothing all that important, and it's a handy device for everything else, but
still...
(cross-compiling from java a few utilities I wrote to deal with home
automation, if you must know)

I feel cheated that I now can't do what I wanted to, even though it's
technically possible and was legally possible until recently.  If I were to
have know this in advance then Apple would have had one less purchase.

I've since bought an android phone
