In the case of AWT. This has stuck to the lowest common denominator of
all supported platforms. Do you think it would be workable to have
some native implementations of features which were lacking in one or
another client platform as part of the Java installation to help
create a richer set of common supported features? I suppose Swing is
the more extreme case of just not bothering using any native
components.
