It has been designated as a pipe-dream by many, though SWT comes
close. Frankly I think an app should look like the native platform,
and the only high quality way to achieve that is to target (at compile
time) the different environments. Hopefully your app is sufficiently
well designed so that you can just swap out the UI layer - that is,
after all, not dissimilar to the prevailing server side MVC/MVP model.
