It means that as of 10.7 (scheduled for summer 2011), the Apple JDK could simply disappear, as in, NO Java on your Mac at all, no 1.4, 1.5, 1.6. 1.7 - nothing.
And since there are *currently* no 3rd party JDKs that could replace Apple's JDK, this means if you need to develop Java apps, you'd have to move to a supported OS, like Windows Vista, or some unix/linux variant.
