This confirms what I thought - the money is in iOS.

Unlikely, because AFAIK Google core business is different than Apple. So far, Apple sells hardware and software. Thus they need to make money out of manufactured iStuff and apps. Google sells data and services and they're happy to have a lot of terminals around that are ready and willing to consume their data and services. I think that they are happy as they are.
