I must say that my perspective of making money ouf of an Android (but
iPhone too) app is well explained by this:

My personal interest for Android, as a developer, is for integrated
architectures and industrial applications: that is, the things that I'm
usually doing and that should soon include an Android client, in some
cases. I wouldn't think of making money out of Android for other reasons.
