I'm really not convinced because they would have to add significant value
to what's available today and what's about to be available even at the
Javascript level (check out Three.js for example). JavaFX is five years old
and one of the main engineers is saying "we're not there yet".

They are not just behind technically, they are behind in terms of skills
and vision.

This won't end well.
