Hi,
That's the way it is  on most web-based email services including Hotmail and
Gmail using there respective websites. You have to go past the links and
other non-relevant information on there WebPages to get to the email if you
don't have a paid account or have these services set up properly to send and
receive email using an email client such as Outlook or Outlook Express.

I love outlook express, because the email is right there when you open it 
up. On Yahoo you have to arrow down through a lot of stuff to get to your 
email.
