Hi:
Well it is mostly for when you loose speech and can not get jaws talking again, 
so a conformation 
box really would not be of much use since you would not be able to hear it 
anyway.  In addition JAWS 
automatically restarts it's self after issuing the keystroke; restarting with 
speech.  Jaws unloads 
and then automatically restarts with speech, you don't have to manually restart 
jaws.
It is mostly for times when you loose speech and have no other option but to 
reboot to get jaws 
talking again; that's why they call it a "emergency recovery " key combination.

Thanks, but it would be nice if a confirmation box appeared asking the
user if they're really sure they want to do this. I could do this now,
but I will lose speech immediately without being warned. Just my two
pence worth.
