Candy,

You're already getting the indent after the initials for the first line
of the paragraph. For all the other lines, you want what is called a
hanging indent. You can do that to a single paragraph by moving the
cursor into it and pressing Control + T. You don't have to select
anything, just be in the paragraph. To do it to more than one paragraph,
select them and press Control + T. If you haven't typed the interview in
yet, in an empty document do a select all with Control + A, then Control
+ T and then use an arrow key to unselect; now every paragraph you type
will automatically have the hanging indent.

Something to be aware of is that each time you press Control + T, the
hanging indent moves to the next tab stop. And to reverse the Control +
T action, press Control + Shift + T.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] help with setting tabs in microsoft word

Hi Gang,

I am trying to set tabs in Microsoft word. I am trying to type a
document for an insurance company. It is a live interview with a client.
What I have to do is type the initials of the attorney, then tab, and
then type what he says. Then I enter twice. Then I type the initials
of the other person, tab, and type what he says. What I don't know is
when I get to the end of the line, I want the second line to line up
with the first word the person says, and not his initials. I hope I am
explaining it well enough.
I know very little about Microsoft word since I play music for a living.
I was just trying to do some typing on the side.
Any help would be appreciated.

Candy
