Let's hope that someone else on this list has a answer to this question.
I've only been able to do it by selecting the one paragraph, and going into
the paragraph settings dialog box to find out how things are set for that
particular paragraph.  I would then make adjustments as needed, and then get
out of the dialog box so that I could move on to the next paragraph.  This
is very time consuming and I've since resorted to using tables.
