The steps I posted for Windows 7 will work with Windows Defender & Windows 10 as well, with a couple of words added to the steps: To turn the Windows Defender Smart Screen filter off / on: 1. Open IE, & press, Alt + T, for Tools. 2. Arrow down to, Windows Defender Smart Screen filter submenu, & right arrow to open. Pressing the letter, T, is the shortcut key after opening Tools to get here as well 3. Arrow down to, Turn off Smart screen filter...., & press enter. 4. Make sure the, Turn off SmartScreen Filter, radio button is selected. Tab to, Okay, & press enter. Unload & reload IE to make sure the settings change takes affect.

Sorry, I'm really not sure. What browser are you using? There definitely used to be a "smart screen filtering" option in IE, which you could turn off. That'd probably do the trick. Note that this is actually supposed to protect you from fishing schemes and other stuff. I don't know how efficacious it really is. I suspect, not that much, really.
