Hey, Rick:

No, Dell did not shortchange me. My machine is specifically desinged to 
handle Vista, and is one of the most turbocharged laptops that Dell sells, 
the Vostro 1500.

With a duo core processer and 2GB's of RAM, and a 145GB hard drive, it 
should eat Vista alive.As I said, I ran 3 different , Brand new copies of 
Vista Ultimate Home edition through it, and all the problems I had were 
exactly duplicated with each. The computer itself has been tested and 
retested by Dell's warranty shop, and  there's not a single thing wrong with 
it, except for it not liking Vista.
