Hi Dwight,

Once you open the document, go to the document menu, and arrow down to 
Recognize Text Using OCR sub-menu, then arrow down to Start, if not already 
there, and press enter.

You'll be confronted with a dialog box asking what language you want to use 
to recognize the text.  It should say English US, so all you have to do is 
arrow down to the start button, and press the spacebar.

At that point, Adobe should start looking for and making the document as 
accessible as it can using it's own OCR.
