The creator of the document probably scanned it himself and simply converted it to a PDF. no screen reader will be able to handle that kind of document well. If you have either Open Book or K1000 you can use their virtual printer utility to perform OCR on the document. Results will vary, but if the document is mostly text, you may actually get something that you can make sense of. Andy
