hmmm, I would try a different keystroke, it sounds like that might be
assigned to something else as well and intermittently be conflicting
depending on what is running when you attempt to lock down.
example, when I first started using win XP I thought of a gnomonic keystroke
for the volume control options and assigned it control shift v (anyone who
has used outlook express will see the fault here. and this sometimes worked
and sometimes didn't. why? because it was assigned to a keystroke in O.E.
and sometimes it would bring up volume control like I wanted, or if OE was
running it would either jam the comp up or go into the "move to a folder"
options in OE, random success and an (remember I did say when I first went
to XP)varying results.

so I would give another key combo a try and see if it's the locking system
or the keystroke itself that is causing the trouble.

take care,
inthane

Subject: [JAWS-Users] when locking my computer

At work we are requested to lock our computers when not at the keyboard.
The key stroke I use is windowsKey+l.
I am running jaws 13 latest build and xp service pack 3.

When I envoke the WindowsKey+l it is not only locking my computer but it is
also freezing my keyboard. It looks like as though jaws loses the keymap
files so the keyboard does nothing and I have to do a hard reboot. It is
intermittent and I haven't identify anything that would cause it to do so.
Has anyone else experienced this and have you found a resolution?
Thanks
Tom Bisset
