Hi Rich,

If I remember correctly, press control, shift, +8, on the number row to turn
off and on
proof reading marks such as the paragraph mark.

Hi all,
  I have XP home and 14.0.
Recently, I opened a document in "microsoft" word to modify it.
Instead of hearing "blank" for blank lines, I heard "paragraph mark".
My sighted wife said the document had dash marks and other symbols showing,
that did not seem to be in that document in the past.
Could I have altered the settings somewhere? and how can I fix it?
