André,
What reading program is that? I'm trying it out with the Vocalizer
Direct synths, which are a premium version of RealSpeak, and am not
getting the problem. Reg is pronounced reg.

Now Referring to some earlier posts/threads on the Dictionary File
(JDF): This is an Exceptions Dictionary, so it should really be used
only as
such - for pronunciation of exceptional words, or words that are
exceptions
to the usual rules of pronunciation that obtain in the language of use.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] pronounciation in vocaliser voices
Hi all
I have an idea that what I want to do is perhaps not possible.
It seems as if the vocaliser voices sometimes pronounce words as if they
are
acronyms. A good example is the group of letters r e g which when you
write
them as a word is pronounced as regarding. This seems to be the case no
matter what language synth you use.
I don't suppose that it is possible to change that?
Andre
