This message is fine for the jaws users list. We shutdown blind computing because it was becoming too difficult to keep up with both lists as together there were around 1100 subscribers and there are only 3 of us that run the show. This is just a FYI kind of reply.

I have recently started using the portable version of Thunderbird from portableapps.com among a number of options i have configured is the option of not marking the mails automatically read once a particular mail gets highlighted. as a result, the mails, don't get marked read on their own. however, contrary to outlook, live mail & many more other email clients, the mails don't get marked read even after i open & read them. as a result, i have to go about marking each read mail as read on my own manually. any solutions? thank you!
