No inconvenience at all and thanks for the clarification.
However, that key combination might be limited to work within  another
program since it isn't functioning at all on my 8.1 system.
On the other hand, Control-Shift-N  works reliably.

it is ault+2 not ault+3. By pressing ault+2 in windows8, you can easily
creat new folder. sorry for the inconvenience.
