Well, you're correct. I located the check box for installing Google Chrome
on the Install page of the downloader by using the JAWS cursor. But
clicking on this check box with the left mouse button gives no indication of
whether the box is checked or unchecked, so if you are not careful,you may
wind up re-checking this box by accident . In any case, I installed
Unchecky so that this check box will automatically be unchecked the next
time I update CCleaner. Perhaps this useful little utility should be added
to the JAWS Users programs page, which,by the way, now has a warning
accompanying the CCleaner download link to be careful about inadvertently
installing unwanted programs.

Normally you'll find the Google / Google Chrome checkboxes while you're on
the Install button. When you're on the Install button, route the Jaws
cursor to the PC cursor, press the page-up key to go to the top of the
page,
& arrow down 1 line at a time. You'll need to uncheck the checkboxes with
Numpad slach or left mouse button. Also there is a little program called
Unchecky that will stop this as well. Info is below:

installers. It then automatically unchecks any checkboxes related to

That's the problem. I could not find any check box for installing Google
Chrome anywhere on the downloader interface, and I checked each page
carefully with the JAWS cursor. I wound up removing it using Revo
Uninstaller. If anyone else can find the elusive check box for installing
Chrome, please let me knoe how to locate it so that I do not get screwed
over again the next time I install a new version of CCleaner.

Unfortunately that's quite normal with 'modern' software installers.
It's either Ask or Chrome or a few similar bun unnecessary, but you have
the option to uncheck the install box during setup, IF of course you can
find it.
So now you can use C Cleaner to un install chrome.
