I am curious as well.  I used to see this more in outlook 2003,  I believe then 
the attachment stuck where ever you pasted.  In outlook 2010 it seems to put it 
consistently where we generally find it in the attachments list.

I've never tried insert f5 to try and get to an attachment.

I'm curious how the sender is attaching the document when it shows up as a 
graphic because no matter what I do, my attachments are always accessible with 
jaws.
