or buy a new computer.
One thing more, just having the process unchecked didn't remove the notice from
my sys-tray.

Oh, I see, well anyway, if the installation file did get downloaded to
someones computer, and they then chose not to install the update, then they
could simply delete the file from their computer and be done with it. Then
they could pay for the software when they decided they did want it. lol.

I was answering what the previous person stated. I had reserved it and it
was in the sys-tray, but when I entered on that "get windows update" to undo
this, there was no cancelation item.
It did have reserve button but no cancel after what the other person stated.
I tried to undo it via the web site, but couldn't get Jaws to that check
box. I had to call microsoft accessibility and what I already stated in
another email someone there assisted in unchecking the reserve.
He told me it's a visual thing that can't be accessed by screen reader,
maybe that will change, but this was just right after it came out.

Please inform us as to how it was, because that is how Microsoft describes
it as happening. As far as I know, many of us have not waited to get the
notification from Microsoft that our download was ready to install, most
  of
us have used the Media Creation Tool to download the ISO or to simply
  update
our computers right from the tool. So, as someone who did experience the
update as it was supposed to go, please inform us on this subject.

I believe from the get windows 10 notification you open the icon by
    clicking
it then scroll down to check my status or something click that and you
    will
go to a webpage that says this computer has reserved a free copy of
    windows
      10
if you scroll down I think there will be a link cancel my reservation.
  I
don't know, try it an find out!
