As far as I know, you can easily do this by going into your Explore My
Settings option, and delete all the files with the word, "default" in it.
This will force Jaws to create a new set of default files to replace the
ones you deleted when you restart Jaws after the deletion.
If you have specialty scripts installed, or keyboard layouts, don't forget
that you must re-compile the scripts and install them again.

Hi, Jason.
Only because I, like you, want information on this list to be correct, I
have to point out your memory is letting you down here. Rather than download
a JAWS installer, whatever that may be, you must be sure you have on your C
drive a copy of the file for the version (including release) of JAWS you're
running. There's more to it than that, but let's wait to see if the JAWS
repair instructions will be needed before going to the trouble of retrieving
them.

Have you tried running a JAWS Repair? Instructions for doing this have been
circulated on this list previously.
From memory, you download the JAWS installer and run it with a "/type
repair"
option on the command line. This you can do from a "run" dialogue or from a
command prompt.

Hi all,
Well, somehow, today at work, I discovered that JAWS wouldn't read
anything whatsoever in Firefox. The whole page sounds blank to me, and
JAWS souldn't read any of the menu items either. So I assumed the latest
Firefox update they pushed to our computers might have been the problem.
However, later, I noticed that some other applications are having similar
problems. I suddenly can't read my calendar appointments in Outlook 2013,
and a couple menus in IE won't read properly either.
So I thought I'd try setting JAWS back to its defaults, in the event that
I might have inadvertently screwed something up by accident somewhere.
But I can't find where in JAWS 15 to do that.
Any suggestions?
Tomorrow, I might see about just reinstalling it, but I was hoping to
figure out what setting might've been goofed up first.
And obviously I need to upgrade to 17. Just waiting on the procurement to
go through.
Courtney
