Thanks!
I did what you suggested, but things are still weird here.
In a few minutes we're going to upgrade it to 17, and see if that does the
trick.
I am thinking there's something else wrong somewhere, not necessarily with
JAWS. But the upgrade can't hurt, and may help with any possible compatibility
issues.
I'll let ya know what we find out.

Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Resetting JAWS 15 to its default settings?

Hi Courtney,
How about trying these simple things first, before repairing or re-installing
Jaws:
Try these one at a time, and see if the problem persists after taking each
action.

1. Try unloading, then reloading Jaws .

2. Try re-booting the computer.

3. From the Jaws application window, open the options menu, and arrow to manage
applications settings and press enter In this dialogue you will be presented
with a list of applications that you have changed Jaws settings for.
Uncheck any boxes that are checked, and then okay your way out of the dialogue.
Next, unload and then reload Jaws and see if the problem persists.
If you need further assistance, just sing out!

HTH,
Rick Justice

Tomorrow's another day, another way!
and if tomorrow never comes, problem solved!

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Resetting JAWS 15 to its default settings?

Hi all,

Well, somehow, today at work, I discovered that JAWS wouldn't read anything
whatsoever in Firefox. The whole page sounds blank to me, and JAWS souldn't
read any of the menu items either. So I assumed the latest Firefox update
they pushed to our computers might have been the problem.
However, later, I noticed that some other applications are having similar
problems. I suddenly can't read my calendar appointments in Outlook 2013,
and a couple menus in IE won't read properly either.

So I thought I'd try setting JAWS back to its defaults, in the event that I
might have inadvertently screwed something up by accident somewhere.
But I can't find where in JAWS 15 to do that.
Any suggestions?
Tomorrow, I might see about just reinstalling it, but I was hoping to figure
out what setting might've been goofed up first.

And obviously I need to upgrade to 17. Just waiting on the procurement to
go through.

Courtney
