Generally any file you save as a .doc or .docx will be larger even if it started out as a simple text file. I just opened a PDF document that is a book chapter and saved it as Accessible text. I then selected the entire chapter and then copied and pasted it into an MS Word 2007 blank document and the text transferred fine. The problem is that a chapter that is 34 pages has become 86 pages.
