I haven't noticed it being slower..it has some quirks takes getting use to like in OE, jaws doesn't say bottom or top of the list of messages in your inbox when you reach the last one jaws says nothing.. FS said it was an error for this version even though in the verbosity you can turn it on to say it doesn't work..maybe on the next version, lol I like how it handles msn messenger doesn't say that devil smiley character and seems to run more smoother and quicker for me anyways and the typing sound isn't as loud. One thing I've done installing a program called..Text Monkey Lite off the jfwlite site and that's the best lil' program for takin' out them greater than signs, but for some reason on both versions of jaws it messes up my Open book program to the point my scanner will say not enough space available or no scanner is installed, lol I had to constantly go and select it to get the scanning done and finally just uninstalled the Text Monkey Lite. Someone suggested I not have jaws to start up and just start it with a hot key and I have that setup, but haven't tried that theory out yet..what I did do was follow the steps off this lists web page about turning off the hearing of symbols and now I don't hear the signs even though there still in the emails and that's how I found yall in the first place..
Hailley ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeffrey Turner" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, August 26, 2006 3:45 PM Subject: [jaws-users] Upgrading question I am still running Jaws 7.0, and have noted comments on the list about the merge utility not working well when moving up to 7.1, and some people experiencing system slowdowns after installing 7.1. I'm happy with 7.0, although I don't know what I'm missing with 7.1. Has anyone on the list upgraded, and then decided to revert back to 7.0, and if so, why?
