Regardless of how you eventually end up doing this, if the mail is still in the original .dbx files, those are not comma-separated files. Basically, a comma-separated file is a file that you would import to a spreadsheet program like Excel. Since you've already wiped out the old system, you're quite possibly out of luck. You _might_ be able to perform a System Restore, as you suggested in your second message, _if_ you didn't totally wipe the hard disk. However, you cannot have removed Windows from the old system and you cannot have removed the folder where the System Restore files are stored. If you completely reformatted that drive, there's nothing you can do and we need to know exactly what's on the thumb drive, since that's your only remaining resource for possibly recovering things.
