I wasn't referring to a patch that existed. My point was about the text (since removed in 8021946): "The 7u40 release notes describe a temporary mechanism"... when the OpenJDK repository doesn't contain any such release notes. If, hypothetically speaking, we submitted a patch that said: "The 1.13.0 release notes describe a temporary mechanism"... would that be acceptable? Personally, I wouldn't think so, but it is the equivalent, though it refers to an IcedTea release rather than a proprietary Oracle JDK release. Neither set of release notes are part of OpenJDK. I'm glad the text has now been changed for the better. > cheers, > dalibor topic > > -- > Oracle <http://www.oracle.com> > Dalibor Topic | Principal Product Manager > Phone: +494089091214 <tel:+494089091214> | Mobile: +491737185961 > <tel:+491737185961> > Oracle Java Platform Group > > ORACLE Deutschland B.V. & Co.
