It builds but it doesn't run. >From the README: go to the gameoflife-web directory and run mvn jetty:run. The application will be running on http://localhost:9090.
I don't see the Issues tab on https://github.com/CloudBees-community/game-of-life. And no, I don't have a fix, so no PR. I just installed jdk 7. I can reproduce if needed.
