Daniel,
Arrgh! :)
Ok, so you've made all the aforementioned changes to your config files and
nothing is still working.
Are you stopping and restarting the apache webserver between config file
changes? (Trivial question, I know, but gotta try and eliminate the basics...
:) ) I have Apache JServ 1.1 configured to start automatically upon webserver
startup
If I make a config file change, in addition to stopping and restarting the
webserver, I also delete all the files in the JetSpeedDocumentCache directory.
You might try that.
If you are not getting any errors in your turbine.log, jserv.log, or
mod_jserv.log files, I would check your webserver error_log. I just solved
getting Cocoon 1.7.0 working with Jetspeed and part of the solution involved
looking at the webserver error log.
I bet that Java/JServ is throwing a bunch of errors in there.
Another thing to try is take a look at the documents in the
JetSpeedDocumentCache. I've seen some Java StackTraces in there as well.
Create another jetspeed.tar.gz file with all your configuration stuff and I'll
take a look at it again. My gut is telling me that there is something up in
your webserver error_log.

Yeah, a working version helps! :) Don't worry, we'll get it running! What is
the quote, "Genius is 99% persperation, 1% inspiration" :)
