finally, now that i have all required jar files in both, classpath an
repostitory,
turbine starts writing log messages to its log file.

before that i had to change the owner of turbine.log to www-data which is
the
user which also runs my webserver.

same applies to the directories JetspeedDocumentCache and jetspeed-cache.

finally there was a little typo in my TurbineResource.properies file,
though.

Although i still think that some errors are non reproducable
(like that weird advice - you don't have to asigne a default action for xml
files,
for me that works even in the jetspeed zone).

btw - what about the uml diagrams ;-)

i found a case tool at http://www.umlhome.com called objectdomain.
it allows you to draw your uml diagrams and finally builds a class
framework in java c++ etc.
