Hello All,
In order to streamline the install process, I propose that we investigate
the possibility of using FreeInstaller to create an automated install
program for Jetspeed.

http://www.xenonsoft.demon.co.uk/freeinstaller.html

I have downloaded the code, and will be playing with it this weekend. It
is only at a 0.2.0.4 release. and doesnt create shortcuts or registry
entries on WinNT. Actually, I am very glad it does not create registry
entries as you can really screw things up with bad them on NT.

Anyway, we dont really need registry entries, so it doesnt matter.

I found out about this from the exolab.org portal site a few months back,
but am just getting around to checking it out.

I guess the real question is are we brave enough to try out this new
software.

+1 on evaluating it. I am going to move forward with a preliminary
evaluation and will be listening for response...
