I am sorry. There is really not a lot we can do about this. A lot of
people have mentioned it before but no one has come up with a solution.
There are just some steps you have to do... like creating the cache
directories, setting your temp dir, etc. If you come up with a better
solution let us know.

It can do a lot "out of the box". It can do all of the above. Just
fiddle with it. You can get HTML integrated via the FileServerPortlet,
RSS/XML through the RSSPortlet and Cocoon. Seems to me it can work
right out of the box.. just read the docs :)

Jetspeed is at the best state it has ever been. The code is fast and
solid. It might be hard to use but I am really open to hearing
suggestions on how to fix it. I have heard a lot of people mention this
but haven't heard any decent solutions :(
