Hello.

You should probably go through the wizard to set jaws to your liking.
However, if all you want to do is change the voice you can do this by
pressing "control + John T +S" once you get in this dialog box, you have the
option to change either the default setting are the application setting. If
you have already changed the application setting and want it to be the same
as the default setting. You can tell it to use the default setting.

I just successfully changed the voice and rate of jaws speed successfully in
Outlook but in Microsoft word the voice is slower than slow and the voice is
a female voice that I don't like as much as my old friend Reid. I want to
change the jaws settings in word and think that if Jaws is in the system
tray I can do this. Is there another way? I've been driving myself crazy
all day, but I should be used to crazy by now. Judith

JAWS key with J opens the JAWS window.  Then pull down the Options menu;
Alt+O. The first item on the Options menu is Basic. Enter to open it and
tab through the settings turning them on or off with the spacebar. One of
them is about the system tray.

I've been using JAWS for 17 years and have never had it in the system tray.
I would like to know the advantage of putting it there? Thanks.
Howard
