Hi Bill,

I have done it many times using XP.  Just to make sure it still works I 
copied the contents of a zipped folder, & pasted the contents into a folder 
of the same name, & it worked just fine.

That may be true under some conditions. But I use Windows XP, and I cannot
copy the files listed in the zip file with Control plus C. Instead, I must
use a copy to folder option found in the edit menu. So, opening the zip file
is not the same as having the files in an extracted folder.
