To bring the thread back on topic, I wanted to post something I haven't seen before - heat generation on the SBR.
In short, there isn't any. :-) The case is barely above ambient to the touch. The warm spot seems to be the Logitech logo on top. But just barely... Perhaps it would be warmer if I had the production 9V power supply which would require the internal regulators to dump a lot of voltage. I have the beta 6.8 V PS. The LED is getting cooler and cooler. It's very, very slick with its progressive dimming and seemingly limitless colour capabilities. Is it a 3-element RGB LED or a collection of several LEDs? It has to be one of the two in order to display white, red, yellow, blue, green and purple. Sound quality wise it's quite good. Not as good as the Transporter, obviously (muffled by comparison) but good. I can't say whether it's as good as the SB3, it's been a while since I had one and my SB2 is connected to an entirely different system. Oh and I am "getting" the SBC more and more now. It helps a lot for a random mix person like myself actually, I can see what tracks are coming up and I can remove them if I don't want to hear them. Quite handy! The SBC is snappy, snappy, snappy now. Removing tracks and pausing when the phone rings is effortless. -- Mark Lanctot Ben Klass: "I won't even eat a pre-7.0 meal.
