Read Read Me (I don't often do that). Opted for firmware update. Firmware updated (without the useful %age download indication) then device turned itself off.
Oh. I was expecting it to restart/reboot, but it didn't. Anyway, once I restarted it all seems fine. I have a new player called Squeezebox 2... or receiver if you look at the Player Information screen. Laterzzz... Attempting to rename the player was painful. Once I'd entered all letters required, hitting the center button again just seemed to add another letter.. which I then deleted... then added again... etc.. etc... I ended up with a unit called "r". Next time I atempted to create the name all went very smoothly indeed. Odd. MC -- ModelCitizen Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.
