My went basically trouble-free: I updated the Controller first, then set up the Receiver. Like MC, I didn't need to press the button - the Controller found it as soon as I went to "Set up Squeezebox".
Also, mine is called "Squeezebox 2"... And I had the Controller spending ages 'connecting to the network' when setting up the Receiver, when it's already connected - need to update this message.
