I've been testing out Robin's UDAP utility to configure my SBR. I've managed to set up my SBR in bridged mode and get it to connect via wire to a "stand-alone" SC server, but ONLY if it's connected through a hub. Attempting to connect using a crossover cable just doesn't seem to work. When using either a regular or crossover cable between the SBR and the stand-alone server, the SBR connects to the wireless access point just fine, but never connects to the cabled SC server. The led goes RED->WHITE->GREEN->WHITE and the Ethernet link led isn't lit. I can ping the SBR over the wireless network, but can't ping the server through the bridge.
The same hardware & configuration, but using a SB2 or SB3 and the crossover cable, works just fine. And, as I said, if I put a hub between the SBR and the stand-alone server, everything works OK. Any ideas as to why a SBR wouldn't like a crossover cable in a situation where a SB2 or SB3 is perfectly happy? Is this a SBR firmware ethernet driver issue? -- gharris999 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ gharris999's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=115 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43803 _______________________________________________ jive mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/jive
