The crossover cable in question checks out OK on my cat-5 tester and works perfectly with a wired SB2 that I tried yesterday. I also tried using a regular cable (that also checks out OK with the tester) with the SBR today and that didn't work either. That same cable, when used with the hub, works just fine. In every case: no hub between the SBR and the server == no ethernet link LED on the SBR. The only other thing I can think of trying is to swap in a different NIC in the server. But, as I said, the SB2 didn't have any problems with the current nic/crossover cable. -- gharris999 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ gharris999's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=115 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43803 _______________________________________________ jive mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/jive
